Is Change Necessary?…
Of course, why?
Because as we get older, we realize that change is necessary in order to evolve into a better version of ourselves. We are reminded of these necessary changes, much like the changing seasons. It’s essential to clear out the old in order to allow the new to come in. The same happens with the seasons of the year, which consist of four distinct ones. Each season has its positive aspects, particularly in the case of fall.
During fall, the weather changes; coats, sweaters, mittens, and scarves begin to be worn. The smell of baking fills the kitchen, and hot chocolate with marshmallows is enjoyed alongside freshly baked cookies while we listen to leaves crunching outside or soft Christmas music. As we marvel at the changes in the weather and the leaves, with their change in texture and color, we can use this example to understand that there are moments in our lives—seasons for change—when we can strive to be different and better.
While the leaves fall, we should also let go of the extra baggage we’ve picked up throughout the year. What type of baggage? Sadness, guilt, and overwhelm. It’s time to renew our lives and contemplate what fall brings. The fall is here, and so is the season for renewal.
We welcome the fall; we welcome the change.
